Built in 1916, the beautifully restored Maridor is an elegant example of Colonial Revival architecture with Federal Style detailing. The five-bedroom home originally was called San Souci. It has been through five different owners, including Marion Augustus Smyth, who renamed the home 'The Maridor' after his two children, Marion and Dorothy.
Maridor is within easy walking distance of the lovely Grandin Village with its many specialty shops, restaurants or the renowned Grandin Theatre. Downtown Roanoke is a short drive away, as is the wonderful and picturesque Blue Ridge Parkway. Roanoke College, Hollins University, Ferrum College and Virginia Tech are also within a short distance.
We offer customization in a variety of ways to accommodate memorable parties, intimate weddings, and unique group events at the same location. The facility holds up to 150 guests, reception-style. Please contact us to schedule an on-site visit!
